Then after these ˹messengers˺ We sent Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh and his chiefs with Our signs. But they behaved arrogantly and were a wicked people.

يقول تعالى : ( ثم بعثنا ) من بعد تلك الرسل ( موسى وهارون إلى فرعون وملئه ) أي : قومه . ( بآياتنا ) أي : حججنا وبراهيننا ، ( فاستكبروا وكانوا قوما مجرمين ) أي : استكبروا عن اتباع الحق والانقياد له
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
