The example of these two parties is that of the blind and the deaf, compared to the seeing and the hearing. Can the two be equal? Will you not then be mindful?

{ مَثَلُ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ } أي: فريق الأشقياء، وفريق السعداء. { كَالْأَعْمَى وَالْأَصَمِّ } هؤلاء الأشقياء، { وَالْبَصِيرِ وَالسَّمِيعِ } مثل السعداء. { هَلْ يَسْتَوِيَانِ مَثَلًا } لا يستوون مثلا، بل بينهما من الفرق ما لا يأتي عليه الوصف، { أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ } الأعمال، التي تنفعكم، فتفعلونها، والأعمال التي تضركم، فتتركونها.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
