Whenever We intend to destroy a society, We command its elite ˹to obey Allah˺ but they act rebelliously in it. So the decree ˹of punishment˺ is justified, and We destroy it utterly.

Na tukitaka kuwaangamiza watu wa mji kwa udhalimu wao, tunawaamrisha wenye gogi wao wamtii Mwenyezi Mungu, wampwekeshe na wawaamini Mitume Wake, na wasokuwa wao wako nyuma yao kwa kuwafuata, wakaasi amri ya Mola wao na wakawakanusha Mitume Wake, hapo likapasa juu yao neno la adhabu ambalo hakuna namna ya kurudishwa, na tukawamaliza kwa maangamivu yaliyotimia.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
