Adding, “Do you see this one you honoured above me? If you delay my end until the Day of Judgment, I will certainly take hold of his descendants, except for a few.”

﴿قَالَ أَرَءَیۡتَكَ﴾ أَيْ أَخْبِرْنِي ﴿هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِی كَرَّمۡتَ﴾ فضلت ﴿عَلَیَّ﴾ بالأمر بالسجود له و {أَنَا۠ خَیۡرࣱ مِّنۡهُ خَلَقۡتَنِی مِن نَّارࣲ} ﴿لَىِٕنۡ﴾ لَام قسم ﴿أَخَّرۡتَنِ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ لَأَحۡتَنِكَنَّ﴾ لَأَسْتَأْصِلَنَّ ﴿ذُرِّیَّتَهُۥۤ﴾ بِالْإِغْوَاءِ ﴿إِلَّا قَلِیلࣰا ٦٢﴾ مِنْهُمْ ممن عصمته
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
