˹They are˺ those whose efforts are in vain in this worldly life, while they think they are doing good!”

{ الَّذِينَ ضَلَّ سَعْيُهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ْ} أي: بطل واضمحل كل ما عملوه من عمل، يحسبون أنهم محسنون في صنعه، فكيف بأعمالهم التي يعلمون أنها باطلة، وأنها محادة لله ورسله ومعاداة؟
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
