˹They are˺ those whose efforts are in vain in this worldly life, while they think they are doing good!”

ثم فسرهم فقال : ( الذين ضل سعيهم في الحياة الدنيا ) أي : عملوا أعمالا باطلة على غير شريعة مشروعة مرضية مقبولة ، ( وهم يحسبون أنهم يحسنون صنعا ) أي " يعتقدون أنهم على شيء ، وأنهم مقبولون محبوبون .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
