وتلك القرى اهلكناهم لما ظلموا وجعلنا لمهلكهم موعدا ٥٩
وَتِلْكَ ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ أَهْلَكْنَـٰهُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُوا۟ وَجَعَلْنَا لِمَهْلِكِهِم مَّوْعِدًۭا ٥٩
وَتِلۡكَ
ٱلۡقُرَىٰٓ
أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُمۡ
لَمَّا
ظَلَمُواْ
وَجَعَلۡنَا
لِمَهۡلِكِهِم
مَّوۡعِدٗا
٥٩
Those ˹are the˺ societies We destroyed when they persisted in wrong,

and We had set a time for their destruction.

{ وَتِلْكَ الْقُرَى أَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُوا }
أي: بظلمهم، لا بظلم منا
{ وَجَعَلْنَا لِمَهْلِكِهِمْ مَوْعِدًا }
أي: وقتا مقدرا، لا يتقدمون عنه ولا يتأخرون.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
