So eat and drink, and put your heart at ease. But if you see any of the people, say, ‘I have vowed silence1 to the Most Compassionate, so I am not talking to anyone today.’”

فكلي من الرطب، واشربي من الماء وطيبي نفسًا بالمولود، فإن رأيت من الناس أحدًا فسألك عن أمرك فقولي له: إني أَوْجَبْتُ على نفسي لله سكوتًا، فلن أكلم اليوم أحدًا من الناس. والسكوت كان تعبدًا في شرعهم، دون شريعة محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
