Moses warned the magicians, “Woe to you! Do not fabricate a lie against Allah,1 or He will wipe you out with a torment. Whoever fabricates ˹lies˺ is bound to fail.”

( قال لهم موسى ويلكم لا تفتروا على الله كذبا ) أي : لا تخيلوا للناس بأعمالكم إيجاد أشياء لا حقائق لها ، وأنها مخلوقة ، وليست مخلوقة ، فتكونوا قد كذبتم على الله ، ( فيسحتكم بعذاب ) أي : يهلككم بعقوبة هلاكا لا بقية له ، ( وقد خاب من افترى)
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
