And We made him prevail over those who had rejected Our signs. They were truly an evil people, so We drowned them all.

وقوله : ( ونصرناه من القوم ) أي : ونجيناه وخلصناه منتصرا من القوم ( الذين كذبوا بآياتنا إنهم كانوا قوم سوء فأغرقناهم أجمعين ) أي : أهلكهم الله بعامة ، ولم يبق على وجه الأرض منهم أحدا; إذ دعا عليهم نبيهم .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
