Then We fulfilled Our promise to them, saving them along with whoever We willed and destroying the transgressors.

وقوله : ( ثم صدقناهم الوعد ) أي : الذي وعدهم ربهم : " ليهلكن الظالمين " ، صدقهم الله وعده ففعل ذلك; ولهذا قال :( فأنجيناهم ومن نشاء ) أي : أتباعهم من المؤمنين ، ( وأهلكنا المسرفين ) أي : المكذبين بما جاءت الرسل به .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
