And He is the One Who merges the two bodies of water: one fresh and palatable and the other salty and bitter, placing between them a barrier they cannot cross.1

Речь идет о местах, где реки впадают в моря и океаны. Речные воды - пресные, а воды морей и океанов - соленые, но каждые из них приносят обитателям земли много пользы, и поэтому Аллах воздвиг между ними преграду и непреодолимое препятствие, благодаря которым воды морей и рек не изменяют своих качеств.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
