or a treasure had been cast down to him, or he had had a garden from which he may eat!” And the wrongdoers say ˹to the believers˺, “You are only following a bewitched man.”

( أو يلقى إليه كنز ) أي : علم كنز [ يكون ] ينفق منه ، ( أو تكون له جنة يأكل منها ) أي : تسير معه حيث سار . وهذا كله سهل يسير على الله ، ولكن له الحكمة في ترك ذلك ، وله الحجة البالغة ( وقال الظالمون إن تتبعون إلا رجلا مسحورا ) .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
