˹commanded to say:˺ ‘Let the Children of Israel go with us.’’”

( أن أرسل معنا بني إسرائيل ) أي : أطلقهم من إسارك وقبضتك وقهرك وتعذيبك ، فإنهم عباد الله المؤمنون ، وحزبه المخلصون ، وهم معك في العذاب المهين . فلما قال له موسى ذلك أعرض فرعون عما هنالك بالكلية ، ونظر بعين الازدراء والغمص فقال :
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
