واذا قيل لهم امنوا كما امن الناس قالوا انومن كما امن السفهاء الا انهم هم السفهاء ولاكن لا يعلمون ١٣
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ ءَامِنُوا۟ كَمَآ ءَامَنَ ٱلنَّاسُ قَالُوٓا۟ أَنُؤْمِنُ كَمَآ ءَامَنَ ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ ۗ أَلَآ إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ وَلَـٰكِن لَّا يَعْلَمُونَ ١٣
وَإِذَا
قِيلَ
لَهُمۡ
ءَامِنُواْ
كَمَآ
ءَامَنَ
ٱلنَّاسُ
قَالُوٓاْ
أَنُؤۡمِنُ
كَمَآ
ءَامَنَ
ٱلسُّفَهَآءُۗ
أَلَآ
إِنَّهُمۡ
هُمُ
ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ
وَلَٰكِن
لَّا
يَعۡلَمُونَ
١٣
And when they are told, “Believe as others believe,” they reply, “Will we believe as the fools believe?” Indeed, it is they who are fools, but they do not know.

Tafseer Jalalayn
﴿وَإِذَا قِیلَ لَهُمۡ ءَامِنُوا۟ كَمَاۤ ءَامَنَ ٱلنَّاسُ﴾ أَصْحَاب النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ﴿قَالُوۤا۟ أَنُؤۡمِنُ كَمَاۤ ءَامَنَ ٱلسُّفَهَاۤءُۗ﴾ الْجُهَّال أَيْ لَا نَفْعَل كَفِعْلِهِمْ قَالَ تَعَالَى رَدًّا عَلَيْهِمْ ﴿أَلَاۤ إِنَّهُمۡ هُمُ ٱلسُّفَهَاۤءُ وَلَـٰكِن لَّا یَعۡلَمُونَ ١٣﴾ ذَلِك
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
