They ask you ˹O Prophet in˺ what ˹way˺ they should donate. Say, “Whatever donations you give are for parents, relatives, orphans, the poor, and ˹needy˺ travellers. Whatever good you do is certainly well known to Allah.”

Wanakuuliza watu wako, ewe Nabii, «Ni kitu gani wakitoe, katika aina za mali zao, kujikurubisha kwa Mwenyezi Mungu Aliyetukuka? Na watoe kumpa nani?» Waambie, «Toeni kheri yoyote iliyo tahfifu kwenu katika aina za mali mazuri ya halali, na utoaji wenu uwe ni kwa wazazi wawili, walio karibu katika watu wenu na kizazi chenu, mayatima, mafukara na msafiri mwenye uhitaji aliye mbali na watu wake na mali yake. Na kheri yoyote mtakayoifanya, basi Mwenyezi Mungu Aliyetukuka ni mwenye kuijua.»
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
