like the fate of the people of Noah, ’Ȃd, Thamûd, and those after them. For Allah would never will to wrong ˹His˺ servants.

{ مِثْلَ دَأْبِ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ } أي: مثل عادتهم في الكفر والتكذيب وعادة الله فيهم بالعقوبة العاجلة في الدنيا قبل الآخرة، { وَمَا اللَّهُ يُرِيدُ ظُلْمًا لِلْعِبَادِ } فيعذبهم بغير ذنب أذنبوه، ولا جرم أسلفوه.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
