So Allah protected him from the evil of their schemes. And Pharaoh’s people were overwhelmed by an evil punishment:

وقوله [ تعالى ] : ( فوقاه الله سيئات ما مكروا ) أي : في الدنيا والآخرة ، أما في الدنيا فنجاه الله مع موسى - عليه السلام - وأما في الآخرة فبالجنة ( وحاق بآل فرعون سوء العذاب ) وهو : الغرق في اليم ، ثم النقلة منه إلى الجحيم .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
