The messengers had come to them from all angles, ˹proclaiming,˺ “Worship none but Allah.” They responded, “Had our Lord willed, He could have easily sent down angels ˹instead˺. So we totally reject what you have been sent with.”

Walipowajia Mitume hao kina 'Ād na Thamūd, hawa baada ya wengine wakifuatana, wakiwaamrisha kumuabudu Mwenyezi Mungu Peke Yake Asiyekuwa na mshirika, waliwaambia Mitume wao, «Lau Mwenyezi Mungu Angalitaka tumpwekeshe na tusiabudu chochote kisichokuwa Yeye, Angaliteremsha Malaika kutoka mbinguni wakiwa wajumbe wa hilo unalotuitia kwalo, na Hangaliwatuma nyinyi na hali nyinyui ni binadamu kama sisi, basi sisi kwa lile ambalo Mwenyezi Mungu Amewatuma kwetu la kumuamini Mwenyezi Mungu Peke Yake ni wenye kulikanusha.»
