Indeed, We had given Moses the Scripture, but differences arose regarding it. Had it not been for a prior decree from your Lord,1 their differences would have been settled ˹at once˺. They are truly in alarming doubt about it.

Hakika tulimpelekea Mūsā Taurati kama tulivyokuletea wewe, ewe Mtume, Qur’ani, wakatafautiana watu wake kuhusu hiyo: katika wao kuna aliyeamini na katika wao kuna aliyekanusha. Na lau si neno (la ahadi) lililotangulia kutoka kwa Mola wako la kuwacheleweshea watu wako adhabu, uamuzi baina yao ungalitolewa wa kuwaangamiza makafiri papo hapo. Na kwa hakika washirikina wana shaka nayo sana Qur’ani.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
