They say, “Our hearts are veiled against what you are calling us to, there is deafness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us and you. So do ˹whatever you want˺ and so shall we!”

Na wanasema hawa wenye kukataa na kumkanusha Nabii Muhammad, rehema ya Mwenyezi Mungu na amani zimshukie, «Nyoyo zetu zina vifiniko venye kutuzuilia tusielewe unayotuambia, na masikizi yetu yana uziwi hatusikii, na baina yetu sisi na wewe, ewe Muhammad, pana pazia inayotuzuia kuitika mwito wako. Basi fanya kulingana na dini yako , kama ambavyo sisi tunavyofanya kulingana na dini yetu.»
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
