When We show favour to someone, they turn away, acting arrogantly. And when touched with evil, they make endless prayers ˹for good˺.

﴿وَإِذَاۤ أَنۡعَمۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنِ﴾ الجنس ﴿أَعۡرَضَ﴾ عن الشكر ﴿وَنَاۤءَ بِجَانِبِهِۦ﴾ ثنى عطفه متبخترا وفي قراءة بتقديم الهمزة ﴿وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ فَذُو دُعَاۤءٍ عَرِیضࣲ ٥١﴾ كثير
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
