And they exclaimed, “If only this Quran was revealed to a great man from ˹one of˺ the two cities!”1

Продолжая возводить на Аллаха свои гнусные измышления, они говорили: «Почему Аллах не избрал для этой миссии одного из почитаемых и уважаемых жителей Мекки или Таифа, такого как аль-Валид б. аль-Мугира?» Всевышний отклонил их претензии и сказал:
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
