Indeed, We gave the Children of Israel the Scripture, wisdom, and prophethood; granted them good, lawful provisions; and favoured them above the others.1

يذكر تعالى ما أنعم به على بني إسرائيل من إنزال الكتب عليهم وإرسال الرسل إليهم ، وجعله الملك فيهم ; ولهذا قال :( ولقد آتينا بني إسرائيل الكتاب والحكم والنبوة ورزقناهم من الطيبات ) أي : من المآكل والمشارب ، ( وفضلناهم على العالمين ) أي : في زمانهم .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
