أفعيينا بالخلق الأول أي : أفعيينا به فنعيا بالبعث . وهذا توبيخ لمنكري البعث وجواب قولهم : ذلك رجع بعيد . يقال : عييت بالأمر إذا لم تعرف وجهه .بل هم في لبس من خلق جديد أي : في حيرة من البعث ؛ منهم مصدق ومنهم مكذب ; يقال : لبس عليه الأمر يلبسه لبسا .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
