And if any of your wives desert you to the disbelievers, and later you take spoils from them, then pay those whose wives have gone, the equivalent of whatever ˹dowry˺ they had paid. And be mindful of Allah, in Whom you believe.

Na pindi baadhi ya wake zenu wanaporitadi na kujiunga na makafiri, na makafiri wasiwape mahari yao miliyotoa kuwapatia, kisha mkapambana na hao makafiri na kupata ushindi juu yao, basi wapeni wale Waislamu, ambao wake zao waliondoka, kitu katika ngawira au kinginecho kama kile cha mahari walichowapa kabla ya hapo. Na muogopeni Mwenyezi Mungu mnayemuamini.
