˹The deniers will then be told,˺ “O disbelievers! Make no excuses this Day! You are only rewarded for what you used to do.”

أي: يوبخ أهل النار يوم القيامة بهذا التوبيخ فيقال لهم: { يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَا تَعْتَذِرُوا الْيَوْمَ }[أي:] فإنه ذهب وقت الاعتذار، وزال نفعه، فلم يبق الآن إلا الجزاء على الأعمال، وأنتم لم تقدموا إلا الكفر بالله، والتكذيب بآياته، ومحاربة رسله وأوليائه.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
