And certainly those before them denied ˹as well˺, then how severe was My response!

ثم قال : ( ولقد كذب الذين من قبلهم ) أي : من الأمم السالفة والقرون الخالية ، ( فكيف كان نكير ) أي : فكيف كان إنكاري عليهم ومعاقبتي لهم ؟ أي : عظيما شديدا أليما .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
