وقوله : ( إنه فكر وقدر ) أي : إنما أرهقناه صعودا ، أي : قربناه من العذاب الشاق ; لبعده عن الإيمان ، لأنه فكر وقدر ، أي : تروى ماذا يقول في القرآن حين سئل عن القرآن ، ففكر ماذا يختلق من المقال ،
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
