Had they ˹really˺ intended to march forth, they would have made preparations for it. But Allah disliked that they should go, so He let them lag behind, and it was said ˹to them˺, “Stay with those ˹helpless˺ who remain behind.”

Na lau wanafiki walitaka kutoka pamoja na wewe, ewe Nabii, kwenye jihadi, basi wangalijiandaa kwa matayarisho ya vyakula na vipando. Lakini Mwenyezi Mungu Amechukia kutoka kwao, ndipo ikawa ni uzito kwao kutoka, kwa mapitisho na Makadirio Yake, ingawa kisheria Amewaamrisha, na wakaambiwa, «Bakieni nyuma pamoja na waliokaa miongoni mwa wagonjwa, madhaifu, wanawake na watoto.»
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
