They swear by Allah that they are part of you, but they are not. They only say so out of fear.

يخبر الله تعالى نبيه - صلوات الله وسلامه عليه - عن جزعهم وفزعهم وفرقهم وهلعهم أنهم ( يحلفون بالله إنهم لمنكم ) يمينا مؤكدة ، ( وما هم منكم ) أي : في نفس الأمر ، ( ولكنهم قوم يفرقون ) أي : فهو الذي حملهم على الحلف .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
