and say, ‘Glory be to our Lord! Surely the promise of our Lord has been fulfilled.’

Hadith
ولهذا يقولون : ( سبحان ربنا ) أي : تعظيما وتوقيرا على قدرته التامة ، وأنه لا يخلف الميعاد الذي وعدهم على ألسنة الأنبياء [ المتقدمين عن بعثة محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم ؛ ولهذا قالوا :( سبحان ربنا إن كان وعد ربنا لمفعولا ) ] .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
