¡Oh, pueblo mío! Obren acorde a sus principios, que yo obraré acorde a los míos. Ya sabrán en el futuro quién recibirá un castigo humillante y quién es el que miente. ¡Estén atentos, que yo también estaré atento junto a ustedes!”

{ و ْ} لما أعيوه وعجز عنهم قال: { يَا قَوْمِ اعْمَلُوا عَلَى مَكَانَتِكُمْ ْ} أي: على حالتكم ودينكم. { إِنِّي عَامِلٌ سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ يَأْتِيهِ عَذَابٌ يُخْزِيهِ ْ} ويحل عليه عذاب مقيم أنا أم أنتم، وقد علموا ذلك حين وقع عليهم العذاب. { وَارْتَقِبُوا ْ} ما يحل بي { إِنِّي مَعَكُمْ رَقِيبٌ ْ} ما يحل بكم.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
