Y si hubiera decretado destruirlos con un castigo antes de la llegada de Mi Mensajero, habrían dicho: “¡Señor nuestro! Si nos hubieras enviado un Mensajero habríamos seguido Tu Mensaje antes de ser humillados [con el castigo] y desdichados para siempre”.

( ولو أنا أهلكناهم بعذاب من قبله ) من قبل إرسال الرسول وإنزال القرآن ، ( لقالوا ربنا لولا ) هلا ( أرسلت إلينا رسولا ) يدعونا ، أي : لقالوا يوم القيامة ، ( فنتبع آياتك من قبل أن نذل ونخزى ) بالعذاب ، والذل ، والهوان ، والخزي ، والافتضاح .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
