Sin embargo [los idólatras] adoran, en lugar de Dios, lo que no tiene poder para causarles beneficio ni perjuicio alguno. El que se niega a creer, da la espalda a su Señor.

وَکَانَ الْکَافِرُ عَلٰی رَبِّہٖ ظَہِیْرًا ”یہ لوگ اپنے رب کی طرف متوجہ ہوتے ہی نہیں۔ ظھیر کا معنی مددگار بھی ہے اور علٰی مخالفت کے لیے آتا ہے۔ اس طرح ان الفاظ کا مفہوم ہوگا کہ کافر لوگ اپنے رب کے خلاف دوسروں کے مددگار بنتے ہیں۔
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
