Los que no invocan a nada ni a nadie junto con Dios, no matan a quien Dios ha prohibido matar salvo con justo derecho, y no cometen fornicación ni adulterio. [Sepan que] quienes cometan algo de esto merecerán recibir una pena,

{ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ } بل يعبدونه وحده مخلصين له الدين حنفاء مقبلين عليه معرضين عما سواه. { وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ } وهي نفس المسلم والكافر المعاهد، { إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ } كقتل النفس بالنفس وقتل الزاني المحصن والكافر الذي يحل قتله.{ وَلَا يَزْنُونَ } بل يحفظون فروجهم { إِلَّا عَلَى أَزْوَاجِهِمْ أوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ }{ وَمَنْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ } أي: الشرك بالله أو قتل النفس التي حرم الله بغير حق أو الزنا فسوف { يَلْقَ أَثَامًا }
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
