Diles [¡Oh, Mujámmad!]: “¿Por qué iba a prestarles atención mi Señor si no Le ruegan? Pero ustedes [que se han negado a creer] han desmentido Su Mensaje, y por eso merecen que los azote el castigo”.

فأخبر تعالى أنه لا يبالي ولا يعبأ بغير هؤلاء وأنه لولا دعاؤكم إياه دعاء العبادة ودعاء المسألة ما عبأ بكم ولا أحبكم فقال:{ قُلْ مَا يَعْبَأُ بِكُمْ رَبِّي لَوْلَا دُعَاؤُكُمْ فَقَدْ كَذَّبْتُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَكُونُ لِزَامًا} أي: عذابا يلزمكم لزوم الغريم لغريمه وسوف يحكم الله بينكم وبين عباده المؤمنين.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
