Al pueblo llamado Zamud le envié a su hermano Sálih [como Profeta, quien les dijo]: “Adoren solo a Dios”. Pero ellos se dividieron en dos grupos que disputaban entre sí.

يخبر تعالى أنه أرسل إلى ثمود القبيلة المعروفة أخاهم في النسب صالحا وأنه أمرهم أن يعبدوا الله وحده ويتركوا الأنداد والأوثان، ( فَإِذَا هُمْ فَرِيقَانِ يَخْتَصِمُونَ ) منهم المؤمن ومنهم الكافر وهم معظمهم.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
