( إِلاَّ عَجُوزاً فِي الغابرين ) والمراد بالعجوز : أمرأته التى بقيت على كفرها وكانت تفشى أسرار زوجها ، أى : نجينا لوطا والمؤمنين معه من أهله ، إلا عجوزا بقيت فى العذاب مع القوم الغابرين أى : مع الباقين فى العذاب .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
