{فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ بِآيَاتِنَا إِذَا هُمْ مِنْهَا يَضْحَكُونَ} أي: ردوها وأنكروها، واستهزأوا بها، ظلما وعلوا، فلم يكن لقصور بالآيات، وعدم وضوح فيها، ولهذا قال:
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
