ذلك مبلغهم من العلم أي إنما يبصرون أمر دنياهم ويجهلون أمر دينهم . قال الفراء : صغرهم وازدرى بهم ; أي ذلك قدر عقولهم ونهاية علمهم أن آثروا الدنيا على الآخرة . وقيل : أن جعلوا الملائكة والأصنام بنات الله .إن ربك هو أعلم بمن ضل عن سبيله أي حاد عن دينه وهو أعلم بمن اهتدى فيجازي كلا بأعمالهم .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
