Al pueblo ‘Ad le envié a su hermano Hud [como Profeta]. Les dijo: “¡Oh, pueblo mío! Adoren a Dios, pues no existe otra divinidad salvo Él. ¿Acaso no van a tener temor [de Dios]?”

أي:{ و } أرسلنا { إِلَى عَادٍ } الأولى، الذين كانوا في أرض اليمن { أَخَاهُمْ } في النسب { هُودًا } عليه السلام، يدعوهم إلى التوحيد وينهاهم عن الشرك والطغيان في الأرض. فـ { قَالَ } لهم: { يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَهٍ غَيْرُهُ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ } سخطه وعذابه، إن أقمتم على ما أنتم عليه، فلم يستجيبوا ولا انقادوا.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
