أى : أن أصحاب الكهف مكثوا فى كهفهم راقدين ثلاثمائة سنين ، وازدادوا فوق ذلك تسع سنين .فالآية الكريمة إخبار منه - سبحانه - عن المدة التى لبثها هؤلاء الفتية مضروبا على آذانهم .
