Et Nous les fîmes des dirigeants qui guidaient par Notre ordre. Et Nous leur révélâmes de faire le bien, d’accomplir la prière (As-Salât) et d’acquitter l’aumône (Az-Zakât). Et ils étaient Nos adorateurs.

( وجعلناهم أئمة ) أي : يقتدى بهم ، ( يهدون بأمرنا ) أي : يدعون إلى الله بإذنه; ولهذا قال : ( وأوحينا إليهم فعل الخيرات وإقام الصلاة وإيتاء الزكاة ) من باب عطف الخاص على العام ، ( وكانوا لنا عابدين ) أي : فاعلين لما يأمرون الناس به .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
