{ قَالُوا أَجِئْتَنَا لِتَأْفِكَنَا عَنْ آلِهَتِنَا } أي: ليس لك من القصد ولا معك من الحق إلا أنك حسدتنا على آلهتنا فأردت أن تصرفنا عنها.{ فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَا إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ } وهذا غاية الجهل والعناد.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
