ونحن أقرب إليه منكم أي : بالقدرة والعلم والرؤية . قال عامر بن عبد القيس : ما نظر إلى شيء إلا رأيت الله تعالى أقرب إلي منه . وقيل : أراد ورسلنا الذين يتولون قبضه أقرب إليه منكم ولكن لا تبصرون أي : لا ترونهم .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
