S’ils croyaient en Allah, au Prophète et à ce qui lui a été descendu, ils ne prendraient pas ces mécréants pour alliés. Mais beaucoup d’entre eux sont pervers.

قوله تعالى : ولو كانوا يؤمنون بالله والنبي وما أنزل إليه ما اتخذوهم أولياء يدل بهذا على أن من اتخذ كافرا وليا فليس بمؤمن إذا اعتقد اعتقاده ورضي أفعاله . ولكن كثيرا منهم فاسقون أي : خارجون عن الإيمان بنبيهم لتحريفهم ، أو عن الإيمان بمحمد صلى الله عليه وسلم لنفاقهم .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
