{لَوْلَا كِتَابٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ سَبَقَ} به القضاء والقدر، أنه قد أحل لكم الغنائم، وأن اللّه رفع عنكم ـ أيها الأمة ـ العذاب {لَمَسَّكُمْ فِيمَا أَخَذْتُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ} وفي الحديث: (لو نزل عذاب يوم بدر، ما نجا منه إلا عمر) .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
