Mereka menjawab, "Sesungguhnya engkau pasti tahu bahwa kami tidak mempunyai hasrat (syahwat) terhadap puteri-puterimu; dan engkau tentu mengetahui apa yang (sebenarnya) kami kehendaki."

فـ { قَالُوا } له: { لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا لَنَا فِي بَنَاتِكَ مِنْ حَقٍّ وَإِنَّكَ لَتَعْلَمُ مَا نُرِيدُ } أي: لا نريد إلا الرجال، ولا لنا رغبة في النساء.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
