Dan istri itu terhindar dari hukuman apabila dia bersumpah empat kali atas (nama) Allah bahwa dia (suaminya) benar-benar termasuk orang-orang yang berdusta,

ويدرأ عنها، أي: يدفع عنها العذاب، إذ قابلت شهادات الزوج، بشهادات من جنسها.{ أَنْ تَشْهَدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَاتٍ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ ْ}
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
